Takex offeres infrared beam products

Formerly known as PULNiX Europe Ltd., and a subsidiary of the Takenaka organisation, (one of the most prestigious Japanese security sensor manufacturers), TAKEX Europe Ltd. has been a recognized market leader in the perimeter security industry for over 25 years in the UK.

Comprehensive products offering diverse applications
TAKEX's portfolio of products includes PIR's, (both external and internal, the internal quad being one of the only government specified PIR's), voice speakers (with and without PIR's), and flame detectors. However, it is best recognised for its range of active infrared beam products.

These include specialist beams, such as covert beams for discrete use, reflector beams (now available as an external product) ideal where supplying power to both ends of a zone is difficult, long range beams (up to 600m) mainly used on military and aviation projects, intrinsically safe beams ideal for the petrochemical industry, twin beams for building and aperture protection, and the flagship product the Intelligent Synchro Quad range. A range of beams offering up to 200m external coverage using a lattice of 16 beams for minimum false alarms, also featuring environmental outputs for early warning of adverse conditions. The range encompasses variations such as an anti-crawl model for high-risk environments such as prisons, and a low current version with the option of utilising solar panels and batteries to overcome power supply problems.

TAKEX also provides a range of accessories to complement the beams, such as 2m and 3m towers, flush mount kits and anti-vandal cages.

Through this wide product range TAKEX is in a position to offer bespoke protection for almost any situation. TAKEX offers advice to installers and end users, and where viable is able to conduct site visits to best match client's needs with the products offerd.

Name change
The change of name to TAKEX at the beginning of August 2003 was part of the parent company's desire to globalize its branding, which means the products are now known by their original brand of TAKEX. Customers already using TAKEX/PULNiX products might be aware of this brand already, as it has always appeared on the boxes in conjunction with the PULNiX name. The current range of PULNiX products will remain on offer, but will be joined by a much wider range of products currently available through TAKEX worldwide.

In short, the name has changed, but the quality of service will be maintained and the choice of products is set to expand.
